Ok, after I typed that title I realized this blog is not going to live up to it. This is not a scandalous tale of obscene behavior, but rather one of how over thinking can make you want to beat your own ass. I recently found out Modest Mouse & Band of Horses are coming to our lovely Ryman Auditorium but tickets were going to be on sale for a whole week for the "fan club" with the all-to-common "preSale" password. First off, I think if someone buys all 13 of your albums- they should get auto-inducted into this said club; but apparently, that's not good enough. I've actually been on their email list, which by today's standards IS a fan club. If you're willing to take the risk of letting them bombard your email address, then I say you're a fan. Back to the point, I searched for this stupid pw for 2 days- not straight, shut it, but all I could find were old ones used in past shows on this tour. They were kinda out there like: robot, krock, dashboard, promo; but seemed like worth taking a stab at. As soon as it was 10am I started guessing, nothing worked, I thought I'd go further back in their albums for clues, like it was this DaVinci-like code, maybe Isaac's mother's dog's name? I then got a text from Laura, who was much smarter than me; she just bought the damn pw off eBay for 3 bucks or something. You know what it is? MODEST. I couldn't even tell people I couldn't get that- I started saying, "yea- I just guessed it; it was soo obvious." I kill me. Well the truth comes out and to sum it up, there's a chance I may be mentally retarded. I'm looking into it.
So, anyone want to get tickets to the Nashville Modest Mouse / Band of Horses show at the Ryman? the pw is MODEST! Get some now before all the good ones get gone. I soon forgave myself for the lying and the slowness when I realized I got 2nd row seats! I thought they were 4th, but on that section they start at row C, and my row is D! So I'm very excited about seeing both of those acts up close and personal at the Ryman, that place sounds so good I'd see anyone there. Plus you get the bonus of knowing Hatch Show Print will have a poster too. Excellent. Thanks again Laura, my hat is tipped, and I will see you at the show!
